L’essai retrace les figures mythiques d’Antigone et Électre à travers la réécriture de Jean Anouilh avant (les fragments de Oreste et Antigone), et celle de Marguerite Yourcenar après (Electre ou la chute des masques et le feu), en essayant de mettre en en évidence l’évolution / transformation des caractères dans les actes dramatiques.
Les neuf parts qui composent l’essai donnent même un cadre sur les changements qui permettent de caractériser les autres personnages dans les tragédies de référence, de manière à construire un cadre global sur la façon de déplacer la perspective d’une enquête en relation soit aux deux auteurs, soit au XXe siècle, considéré comme un moment clé de la redécouverte et de la réutilisation du mythe. En particulier, les moyens
de montrer l’évolution de ces femmes des mythes de la polis grecque à l’époque contemporaine: l’archétype d’un principe devient un personnage de tous les jours, en prenant sur soi ses névroses, son anxiété, son insécurité et ses symboles. Antigone et Électre suivent un code moral précis qui leur impose une obligation àaccomplir, et cette tâche implique l’acceptation de l’isolement, de la misère matérielle et des tourments profonds résultants. Le mythe d’Electre et celui d’Antigone, malgré les différents modalités, affrontent une question de grande importance dans la société contemporaine, c’est-à-dire la question de la relation entre frère et soeur, avec, respectivement, les thèmes de la vengeance et de la loi. Electre et Antigone, figures exemplaires dans l’antiquité, la réécriture considéré comme un symbole d’identité pour passer une métaphore de l’altérité féminine fractionnements indépendants féminins dans ces unités qui ont été des repères, jusqu’à ce que complètement fragmentée.
SUMMARY
The essay traces the mythical figures of Antigone and Electra through the rewritings of Jean Anouilh before (the fragments of Oreste and Antigone), and then those of Marguerite Yourcenar (Elettra or the Fall of Masks and Fire), trying to highlight the evolution / transformation of the characters within the dramatic acts.
The nine parts that make up the essay also provide a framework on the changes characterizing the other characters in the tragedies of reference, so as to build a comprehensive framework on the change of investigation perspective in relation to both authors and the twentieth century, regarded as a key moment for the rediscovery and reuse of myth. In particular, it intends to show the evolution of these female myths from the Greek polis to the contemporary period: the archetype of a principle becomes the everyday person, assuming its neurosis, anxiety, insecurity and symbols. Antigone and Electra are following a definite moral code imposing on them a duty to perform, and this task implies the acceptance of isolation, material misery and deep torment derived from them. The myths of Electra and Antigone, despite the different modalities, face an issue of great importance in contemporary society, namely the issue of the relationship between brother and sister, together, respectively, to the themes of revenge and law. Electra and Antigone, exemplary figures in antiquity, in the considered rewritings go from a symbol of identity to a metaphor for female otherness: the female self splits into
those units that were landmarks, until completely fragmented.
